What the book's about: The subtitle for The Catalyst Leader - 8 essentials for becoming a change maker - accurately describes what this book is about.
Why I read this book: Since I believe leaders are lifelong learners, I strive to read leadership books in order to grow as a leader myself. After reading several positive reviews of this book, I decided to pick it up.
My favorite quotes from the book:
- "Leaders are defined by their inner strengths and convictions, not the outer portrayal of who they are. Your character will determine your level of leadership & even your legacy."
- "God cares about who you are becoming way more than what you are doing or accomplishing."
- "Leaders are dealers of hope & we must give it away constantly and without bias."
- "Community is oxygen for our souls."
Thumbs up or thumbs down? Thumbs up
Who I'd recommend this book for: Leaders of all kinds. In particular, I think young adults would connect well with this book, which I also think would work well as the basis for a small group discussion or training on leadership.
